ComunicationAttitudes are internal predispositions to action that manifest itself as hidden or unconscious causes of behaviours. When attitudes manifest itself explicit we talk about opinion. Attitudes organize perceptions and indicate which way reality is understood, determines the nature and the intensity of motivations. Also attitudes are very important in communication, as they can change the climate of relations and that statute of participants. Studies reveal that communion of attitudes is an important element of attraction between people to whom they grant much more confidence than to cultural similarities. We can not discuss about communication without involving the nature of the roles that are simultaneously engaged.There is no expresions of someone uniqueness, of someone manner of being, there is no way to express someone’s intentions, desires, fears, without human interaction. Communication by words is less significant, while gestures and body attitudes bring a lot of sense and signify the truth of what a person says, also the authenticity of a person that suggested congruence between these two levels of communication. Because they are actional predispositions, the attitudes determine the behavior and emanate from what genuine essential values exist in mind. Attitudes can also refers to having or expressing an opinion, taking a stand or a side, and it is said that are more important then abilities. All that happens in life is due to the way of reaction and between the moment of receiving information and the moment of reacting there is a lot of freedom to take time and think. Consequently, it is worthy of finding out what values we have, what are our beliefs, propensities, temperamental traits, such that we become able to adopt conscious attitudes that generate desirable actions. Let’s remember the famous hierarchy of needs represented as a pyramid. Maslow disposed physiological primary needs at the basic level. The next needs that human being must satisfy are the needs of safety and personal security that also include the need of body security, of employement, of resources, of morality, of the family, of heath, of property and financial security. Social needs and the needs of belonging, that refers to friendship, family, intimacy, are natural followed by the level of self esteem, confidence, achievement, respect of others, respect by others. At the top of the pyramid there is a bunch of traits about morality, creativity, self development, needs that require all the other needs to be first fulfilled. |
